The vision of One Family Global Volunteering (OFGV) is to provide support and volunteers to assist in areas where there are humanitarian and environmental issues.  Through this exchange we hope to bridge the gap between what is foreign and what is familiar through cultural exchange.  It is about relationship building.  The physical work our volunteers carry out is invaluable, but is also a great contribution to the relationship building process, showing a genuine desire to understand the issues that face the communities and environments which we work with.

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding and humbling experiences available to us. In understanding that there is no more valuable commodity known to us as humans then time, it is a giving of the highest regard and the rewards are relative.
— Ben Cooper, founder of One Family Global Volunteering

One Family Global Volunteering (OFGV) was founded in 2011 in order to assist communities and charitable organisations carry out humanitarian and environmental projects around the globe.

The founder  of OFGV spent considerable time in Peru managing a jungle reforestation project which saw more than 350 volunteers from all over the world pass through the reserve in his time spent there.  After witnessing the tremendous change volunteers would experience, to themselves and the communities / environments which they worked with, Ben decided to form OFGV to give as many people as possible the opportunity to give and receive in this manner.
